Downbeat Privacy Policy

Downbeat Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

Downbeat Practice Metronome ("Downbeat") is a metronome for Mac, iPhone, and iPad made by Robby Burns. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short, it does nothing with it, because it does not collect any.

Information Downbeat collects

None. Downbeat does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking code. The app makes no network connections of its own.

Settings stored on your device

Downbeat saves your preferences, such as tempo, time signature, mixer levels, click sound, app icon, and voice settings, on your device so they are there the next time you open the app. These settings never leave your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Microphone, location, contacts, and photos

Downbeat does not request access to your microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other protected data.

TestFlight

If you test a beta version through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports, usage information, and any feedback you choose to send with the developer. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy. Feedback you send is used only to improve Downbeat.

Children

Downbeat does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
